Hi Lee, I could have got to the long reply too, but decided against it before I even begun....very efficient eh -g-.

I was (still am I guess) a bit of an anarchist in my youth, but the idea is human beings are good enough where you don't need a police state. i.e human beings have enough intrinsic goodness in them selves where all these bad things don't need to happen. Unfortunately all human history has proved otherwise. It would be nice but there are forces on us where we act against our selves.

The guys who turn up at those euro protest meetings decide to do so. The police just get stuck with the job. In an ugly situation, an some one was going to throw a fire extinguisher though the window, I would use a rubber bullet to protect me and my team for sure. I'd hope I had the ability to take aim carefully and hit the guy I aimed at, and not hit some innocent bystander. Sad but thats the state of it. The police have to protect themselves. It aint really their fault.

I decided at weekends is OK to post on the CFZ, but on market matters.., nope not yet -g-

regards,

pearly.

Lee, the guy was already hit why then send a bullet between his eyes ??? Or should Police also behave like animals just because they face such people ?

No I do not justify the second shot with the intent to kill and the soldier should pay for it. At issue is the intend not the action. If the shot would had been accidental from far away it is excusable, but from 2 to 3 yards there is no justification. Also there was no real life treat, trowing at a car a fire extinguisher is not setting a road side bomb or hurling a grenade or firing an RPG

That is what differentiate criminals from police or army IMHO.

Sorry to strongly disagree with you.

Haim

Then how come when Arabs do it to Israeli's and the Israeli's shoot RUBBER bullets there is such an out cry? Should American Police fire on Rioter's too? Your thought process is foolish. The Platonian concept of Intelectual guards of society is dead when POLICE and Riot controll members cant restrain themselves from shooting to KILL. If you like that type of Govt move to CHINA-NFG-
