Hi TheProphet; Oh, I see. Our bet was about RDRAM RIMMs, and DDR SDRAM DIMMs. My recent statement was that RDRAM chips would get down to around 30% of SDRAM chips. But RDRAM RIMMs are going to have an extra cost adder that will bring the premium up to around 50%, at a minimum.

But the difference between 30% or 36% or 50% isn't that big of a deal. The fact is that every new mainstream memory has become the cheapest. Not the "within 36%" ish.

I've been posting that I expect RDRAM RIMMs to eventually get within 50% of the price of SDRAM (and DDR) DIMMs for nearly 2 years now. What has amazed me is that this has not yet happened.
