Poppycock! The fact that the technology not currently up to the job is no reason to suspend the effort. On that logic should we cease "wasting" money on the "lunatic" idea of a cure for AIDS?? Stem cell technology is in its infancy, should we scrap it or should we rather consider the long term benefit that might be derived?? The Europeans and the nuclear freeze movement were wrong about deploying the Pershings in Europe and the same leftist naysayers are wrong again. Witness the breakthrough this weekend by Bush/Putin tying BMD deployment to arms reduction.... Bush wins! Like Reagan Bush grasps that before him it pays to stick by your guns despite what the polls may temporarily indicate... JLA
