Right now I was looking at an EWG chart to decide on whether that might be a good move for my father's US portfolio.

It looks good on at least a short term basis:

EWA hasn't done us any good so far but my bet is the Euro and Aussie will finally be the main beneficiaries of USD weakness. Like, who wants Yen?

I got him to diversify a bit out of Sterling in 1998 (he lives in a certain Middle Eastern country that is heavily USD linked) but now may be the time to switch out of the USD?

Unfortunately that's where most of his money still is (UK stocks and Sterling cash)....

Another part of my scenario (this is commonly believed) is that Sterling must fall to converge with the Euro.
