>Hows the preparation for the party coming along ?< Slowly but surely! Lately the gophers are overtaking my lawn...and I feel like I'm in the movie Caddy Shack! I have been "dead heading" roses almost every afternoon....and I'm probably one of the few people who makes a pile of rose clippings for the deer. There is an entire deer "family" that lives in a field area, and every night they come to check my "progress", and most of the rose clippings are gone in the morning. Most people don't like the deer, but for me they help to "trim" the roses on the other side of the fence. They've never come into the yard...probably because of the dog!
