You said,

"it offends people who sympathize with the displaced indigenous people who lost their land, houses and farms by a declaration from United Kingdom."

My understanding of history in 1948 was that the Arabs who lived in what is now Israel, were NOT displaced, but were actually encouraged to leave their homes by the Arab armies who said they would return as soon as the Israelis were pushed to the sea.

The Palestinians had their best chance for peace with Barak's offers, but their demand for right of return, which would lead to Israel's destruction, can not be accepted by any Israeli government.

Amein, for what its worth- I read the link you posted, and to say what has been happening over there recently hasnt disturbed me would be lying.. and yes, I couldnt agree with you more that the American press machine is slanted entirely in one direction which disturbs the hell out of me as well (why should this issue be any different then any other the American press covers?)

This is why I pointed out in the end that we deserve the violence that finds its way on our soil.. because we become involved.. and I should go a step further and say its not so much the involvement that creates the problem, but rather involvement that follows our vested interests if you catch my drift..

Now I can also sit here and go back in history and easily show you how the blame can be put on BOTH sides..

The very passion and hatred that I see in your post is exactly what im talking about.. You say I am of the opinion that 'might is right', and that I refuse to learn and choose to believe propaganda or learn the 'truth'. I say I am not a single one of those.. I simply think that we have a situation that has been going on for ages and ages, and neither side will be happy until the other is completely exterminated. There is deep seeded hatred, and sometimes its difficult to decipher fact from fiction.. I would go as far as to say that Israel orchestrated some of the recent violence in order to further their cause of 'restraint' so that when they unleash their fury, AMericans can justify as Israel asks our support in mass murder.. so dont think every american agrees with all the politicians who come out and say 'america supports Israel' because its simply untrue.

but IM also not going to fall into the propaganda from the Palestinians side... There were some very generous offers made over the last year and all were refused.. because they too want exactly what the jews want.. They want the enemy to disappear.. vanish.. whiped out.. Perhaps you can tell me what is REALLY taught to their children? Are they taught to love their Jewish brothers and sisters?

Keep it off my soil. Anyone with half a brain realizes there simply is NO solution here.. because both sides do not want a solution.. Hatred is an amazing thing.. The only thing I can agree with you on is that America has a vested interest for several reasons with regards to Israel, and that HAS to be frustrating from your view point.. I can only apologize for this.. It is sickening.. and yes, everytime I hear a death tally in the mid east which never includes Palestinians for some reason also sends chills down my spine.. but before I start sounding slanted to your side, IM out of here..

"Cant you see? it all makes perfect sense.. expressed in dollars and cents, how chilling it is.. Cant you see? it all makes perfect cents.. "

OT> Few things are more offensive and truly freightening than US foreign policy. Civility exists everywhere and the Mid East is no exception to that...blatant disregard for humanity is unfortunately universal. Even with a sense of history one finds it very hard to justify or comprehend these truly tragic relationships. However, taking a look in one's own backyard always proves helpful. (In)vested interests are very mighty and is their PR! In an ideal world the self-serving interventionist democracies would take a permanent holiday and resolution could unfold $$$$ free.
