I consider true oppression to involve something more. Fortunately, the founders of our country didn't. The oppression they rebelled against to found this country was far, far less than we routinely allow our government to impose on us today. A modest limitation of choices, Censorship of 90% of the books in print could also be considered modest limitation of choices, I guess. China's anti-religious policy is also just a modest limitation of choices -- you can't belong to the Falon Gong, or the free Christian church, but you can belong to our church, so you have freedom of choice, with modest limitations. No thanks.
