Well, yes, we do live on an island, but it's about as big as Manhatten island, though far more remote, and has about 6,000 people scattered about on it. Imagine Manhattan in about 1790, but with cars. And, fortunately, computers.

My mother-in-law, who lives on the same property with us, raises the chickens. But when anything challenging needs to be done, I'm the one who gets called.

I'm not sure it was a contest, but the owl was indeed scary.
