Well, that's my point. Is Dell going to rack up losses to drive Gateway and Compaq out of business ? And if he does, will the stock market applaud his losses the same way they applauded Amazon's losses in its euphoric hayday?

If Dell goes after market share at the expense of profits, I think their stock will be down to nothing. Same as happened to so many other B2C companies.
