but are they willing to intervene to hold the dollar or only talk the dollar up? This is the crux of the question, which is greater, their hatred of market intervention or addiction to the strong dollar? btw, Yes, it must be at this point "an addiction to" the strong dollar NOT "a love for" the strong dollar policy. Surely, at some point moral character will beat the addiction, especially considering recent "peer pressure" from US industry.
