Paul, Tony - I was watching the British Open a few minutes ago and on National Television (ABC) I saw my first Pentium XEON commercial - from Unisys - touting their 32-way SMP Intel Pentium /// Xeon system. That is pretty good exposure - I'd say ! Interesting. I wish that machine were selling better. Advertisements like that may help. I saw that Unisys machine earlier this year at a show. Very nice design, both in terms of hardware and in support for the different OSs (W2K, Unix, Linux, Netware, etc.). Just that Unisys is not seen as a company customers would look to for X86 servers, big or small. Also, the server market is in flux right now, between the IT spending recession and the new developments going on in server, modular/blades for example. The latter favors lots of smaller servers. However, in IBM's report this week, their highlights, besides services, were big iron again: back to the past. Mainframes and big Unix made their quarter. Of course, whichever way it goes, lots of small servers or a few big ones, or something in between (my bet), Intel is right in the middle of all of it. Just have to wait for the CEOs to rediscover that IT equipment doesn't have plague or leprosy on it. Tony
