BWAC, I agree too. But the point is that it's turning out to be an evolution, not a revolution that was expected. I have found, for instance, that I can check our bank accounts and credit cards daily to keep MUCH better tabs on who is spending what. That is something I could not do before the internet. On the other side of the scale, however, are my parents, in their 60's, who still won't get an ATM card because they "like a live teller". My mother DOES do email and has learned to buy airline tickets online. But, like I said, it's an evolution for her and her 166 MHZ P1 (circa 1997) computer with a 24.4 Modem and $10 limited access AOL is fine.

P.S. Oh, that computer is also great for her to type letters with Wordperfect 5.0. The point is that the great productivity gains were made going from NO computer to around the P1 with Win95 level. Anything since then has been incremental that Joe Six Pack really cannot appreciate.
