I saw that same picture yesterday but not as high. Blood Mountain would compare to your visual. The last time we hiked it we came to a peak where the wind had been so strong that the entire top of the mountain had been flattened of all trees. I'm talking huge very old oaks and pines were laid flat or simply missing. All were laying in the same direction. It was an awesome sight. We spent 3 days hiking above the clouds.
