It maybe, but that shouldn't matter that much for Qualcomm. CDMA1x will work in spectrum that carriers already have and this is important. Matter of fact, carriers are already upgrading their networks to CDMA1x and will offer speeds up to 130k.

It begins the whole data revolution. Once CDMA1x is in place and carriers will begin to find a way to profit from data it should help their bottom line.
