My take was that the BAT people ... are going to sell their technology to whomever. This was what I thought on second reading, but I wondered what technology? Does this include their (MOT's) CDMA chips? Although this may look like competition for QCOM-Spinco, I actually agree with you that it is positive. There are companies that probably prefer not to buy from QCOM. Also, many companies like a second source. It actually may be bad news for TXN, LSI Logic, etc.
