The Democrats have made a political calculation by supporting Condit - despite what have been Condit's clear efforts to hinder the investigation. That includes trying to get at least one source to lie to the FBI.

Evidently, the Democrats decided it was more important to keep Condit in office than to find Levy or to protect the institutions of government from scandal.

Obviously all such Dems should be held accountable for their actions.
