I've seen this happen before. Everyone thinks the short interest is due to STORY A (in this case, the FBI inquiry). Meanwhile the bulk of the shorts are interested in STORY B (in this case whatever it is that has spooked the NYSE).

Like T-Dude says, you can spin it any way you want to but there is surely something burning in the wood shed.

I thought to move to the NYSE was going to be a great stablizer for Polymedica. Although I only held the stock overnight once (two weeks ago) I had been trading it almost exclusively from the long side for the past couple of months.

Today I returned to the short side. Until the reasons for the NYSE decision become clear, the stock does not, IMO, have a sustainable upside.
