Under the circumstances, when one is not in any sense encouraging such research, and some good can come of it, I would use it......

Very slippery slope. You can use that argument to justify anything, including murder of innocent victims....oh yeah....they are already doing that..

If your point is that this is analogous to the current stem cell dilemna. I am not sure it is. Surely, using information from a discontinued experiment is far different than continuing the experiment. If indeed the stem cell research is immoral (in my mind the jury is still out) we can't continue it and use the results anymore than we could continue NAZI experiments and use the results.
