SGI shares drop to 53¢

Rougher than rough

HOW LOW CAN SHARES GO on a bourse before they're suspended?
That's the question quite a few Silicon Graphics (NYSE: SGI) shareholders must be asking, after they saw the price of the stock dip to 53 cents on Friday, although the outfit's 52 week high has only managed to reach $5.19.

Silicon Graphics had a tough month. On July 10th, it said it would make an operating loss of up to $80 million in its fourth quarter, an announcement which saw its president Hal Covert decided to leave the firm.

But that's not to say the company has nothing to offer. Over at this place, you can learn all about the high end graphics software used in the film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The Sony-Columbia film opened on July 11th, and August 3rd here in Limeyland.

It must have patents and licences coming out of its corporative briefcase like there's no tomorrow. Will someone buy it before the shares dip down to three cents? µ
