yes, yes, yes, and yes. If you could do something more than listen to the media you'd see clearly that we are headed the same route. We aren't any less a welfare state than they are -- just accomplished by different means and we throw money at larger targets hoping it will "trickle down." Europe is in a lot better shape vs. the US (though we be on the brink of a worldwide slowdown), but if you can't rhink critically and simply consume what the media feeds you there is no hope for understanding much of anything. <ng>
