Now the real question: Why isn't Disney tanking after paying so much for a non profitable channel with a lot of debt? That's a great question and I'm wondering the same. My only guess is that Disney sold off on anticipation of the news. Also, Eisner did put a positive spin on the acquisition stating there was a lot of overlap, so I expect there will be layoffs in that division soon. I do hope we won't see a "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" ride at Disney Worlds anytime soon. From a TA perspective, Disney may be nearing support on the monthly chart: stockcharts.com[m,a]maclyymy[pb50!b200!b20!a26][vc60][iUp14,3,3!La12,26,9!Lb13] Also the daily, weekly, and monthly indicators (stochastics and RSI) tend to point to oversold conditions. Yup, that's it, the Promise Keepers. Thanks for the Disney Boycotters link...that's a real laugh. I just can't believe that any of these folks are really boycotting Disney. You'd have to cancel your cable TV or satellite dish and just use an antenna because parts of your cable fee would go to ABC/Disney whether you watched or not. Then there's no baseball or hockey because Disney owns professional teams in each sport and they participate in revenue sharing. No football games on ABC or ESPN. And since the NFL as a whole does business with Disney, wouldn't it be proper to boycott all of the NFL? This should be fun to see what becomes of the 700 Club. Is a deal with the devil in the works? LOL!
