Obviously, the technology Narad offers opens up the possibility of offering fiber-like speeds to those small businesses where it isn't possible to run a dedicated FO line no matter how cheap it may seem in comparison to what it used to cost. I have to think that the right-of-way issue that was brought out in your upstream post plays a big part. How long does it take to put a fiber optic line in place to a small to medium sized business in a metro area?. I remember reading about some businesses moving off the high tech corridor in Dullas, Va. only to be shocked by the price of running fiber optic to their new location only miles away.

In your up linked post you ask But why bother with virtual, when the real thing is just begging, while getting less expensive every day, to be installed? and I'd have to answer, why lay a new line when the same or sufficiant capabilities can be attained with the existing and below the cost of a new line?
