SELLING not spinning off the handset and infrastructure business made more sense than spinning off QCT does IMHO. QCT makes money, whereas, the handset and infrastructure divisions did not. I don't think Q should spin QCT at this point. SpinCo may make more sense in the future WHEN WCDMA becomes more of a factor.

You brought up some compelling reasons to Spin QCT, but I believe Q needs Rich Sulpizio as President of the entire company at this time. If nothing else the market environment for spinning QCT is horrible.
