2) IBM's Shark was released during 4Q1999. IBM reports Shark growth as part of overall disk subsystem growth which includes tape (flattish) and the 7133 (declining). Since Shark was introduced with great fanfare in 4Q1999, IBM has disclosed Shark's growth in only 3 of the last five quarters -- 2Q2000 (33%), 1Q2001 (82%) and 2Q2001 (55%).
