Excellent post. You seem to be one of the few on this thread who understands that Intel is in the P4 hole and they are trying to escape by digging faster and faster.

Intel is a football team that is down by six with 10 seconds left in the game. The quarterback throws a long pass into the end zone.

This is what the panic stricken P4 ramp reminds me of. P4 is not being accepted at the rate that Intel hoped. So they are forcing it on to the corporate market.

As you pointed out P4 is a poor choice for a corporate desktop. Intel thinks that the problem is DRDRAM. Come the Q4 they will discover that the problem is P4 itself.

There is nobody in the end zone to catch the ball.
