Ah, so by RWET standards, you become "liberal" by criticizing W for being insufficiently righteous right? Cool. Given that the Pope is largely ignored by practicing American Catholics on the related "every sperm is sacred" doctrinal front, I think it's OK if W doesn't totally feel obliged to toe the papal line. As I said, though, with Karl Rove on the Pope's side, odds are that W will fall in line sooner or later.
