Re: Rendering issue:

It really doesn't have much of anything to do with current systems, nor will it save Intel from being flattened if AMD performance rates the Athlon 4.

You might want to pay a little more attention to something more current, such as the fact that presently shipping, Pentium 4 systems have problems with non bus master PCI cards. They aren't compatible with common hardware required in many corporate installations. There is no fix and it applies to all Pentium 4s.

AMD has confirmed that a very small number of CPUs “exhibiting a minor manufacturing issue” slipped through its product testing process and into the hands of consumers.

Tony the URL is bad, can you repost?

Could this be the beginning of the end for AMD? Looks like a complete recall may be in order. It looks like AMD is unable to quantify how many cows got out before they closed the barn door so no customer can be confident in their product. All should be demanding a replacement or better yet, full refund.

AMD should RECALL and REPLACE all their AhWiper, DooDooWrong and Kmart-6 devices.
