Freep, It's *possible" I suppose, but that's not the profitable question. The only thing one cares about is what's *probable*. For the triangle scenario, it is unlikely that we have a complete 'd' wave up. It needs another push -- its 'c'.

And moves in 3's are always labelled a-b-c, so there's no '3' wave involved.

The sort of consolidation that the NASDAQ has been doing since the recent high on July 13 looks moderately bullish to me, so that fits with the notion that we'll get a push up soon. How this reconciles with this weeks earnings barrage I can not guess.

I should add Freep that in order for the current multiday consolidation to maintain its moderately bullish appearance, it has to go up now. A break of COMPX 1980 and it'll look bearish.
