DEMAND A 100% RECALL

I saw this report. How can they ship junk like this? Does this mean a total recall? One would expect so based on the Intel FDIV bug of years ago. Can AMD afford this? The recall or refund for millions of processors could put AMD under for good. Who was it that was crowing about Intel's problems of days gone by? What goes around comes around. Slow processors running out of gas. No competitive future products. Process technology out of date. And now who knows how many defective products shipped. Screwup after screwup.

Re: AMD has foisted defective products on an unsuspecting public.

Ha! If anyone ever gets a defective AMD chip, AMD will be glad to replace it.

What about the 100% of all P4 systems that have defective chipsets which lock up on non-DMA PCI cards?

Are you campaigning for a 100% recall of P4s?

They really are all defective, you know.

Paul.....re:DEMAND A 100% RECALL

Paul, I salute you. Go here for a fitting tribute:http://www.theinquirer.net/24070104.htm

This little excerpt is good: "The chips do not appear to be as broken as Intel's 900MHz Cashcade processor which costs a staggering 3,000 quid plus, if you can find one. And you can't, because it's broken. µ"

I think Intel needs to recall you.

Good night.
