Jim, I expect WIN XP to be every bit as stable as Win2000. Not much difference going from Win 2000 to Win XP, but from Win ME it'll be huge. You'll like it.

Re:$300 is not enough.

If a $300 buck kicker isn't enough who's gonna cough up later when the $300 is gone?

How OK will back to school be? Better than last year? A bit worse than last year but "OK" or flat YOY?

Indeed, back to school sales should be robust this year. consumers have been holding out on purchases because of the freefall prices, and will do so until the last minute because there is no real reason to buy immediately. Back to school puts a deadline on purchasing, which should result in large numbers of consumers currently sitting on the sidelines finally making the purchase they have been postponing.

I have both w2k and winxp on my computer and xp is is significantly slower. it is prettier but also much more bloated.
