Yeah, it is a second car, replacing my (used) Dodge Spirit, which was starting to peel, had a rust spot, and had a few things that worried me that I would soon have a money pit situation with repairs. I got five hundred for the trade. I like getting a brand new car, especially as I am sending my son to driving school, and he should have his license soon (he was remarkably docile about waiting until he was 17 and a half). It will eventually be his car, although we will share it for awhile. The Cavalier is a two door, but with a lot of stuff like air conditioning, a CD player, and so forth. It is smaller than the Accord, of course, but still comfortable for me.

I gave my Buick, which was developing a rust problem, to the Volunteers of America. They hauled it away. I don't know if they will use it to drive, or cannibalize it for parts, but the engine was in good shape, and they can get some value out of it. The third car was just more than I needed, and even though I thought of getting a paint job and giving it to my son, I finally couldn't stand any degree of worry with his vehicle........
