Re: "I remember all your posts about how copper at Dresden was too expensive and would cause contamination problems and delay AMD's transition to .18."

I was dead on right.

When I posted that info, in early summer of 1999, all you AMDroids kept screaming I was wrong - and AMD was ready to go with their copper process.

It took AMD another YEAR to get that into production - a YEAR DELAY due to difficulties with copper contamination as well as other problems.

Re: "Now the same thing is happening again. Intel rushes a relatively simple, cheap, and easy implementation of .13 out. 6 months later AMD fields a much higher performing .13 process and leads Intel for the following 18 months."

You are assuming FACTS NOT IN EVIDENCE - just what will be the performance of AMD's 0.13 micron products - since you know the future?
