Wrong. They would cut up their own grandmother even if they thought she might be worth less as parts than as a whole person. Their goal is to charge a fee for the cutting and then another fee for concluding that the parts are worth more together after all.

Can the cancellation of Spinco have any other meaning than Q is now in control of ALL agreements needed to produce multi-mode chips?

The only purpose of Spinco was to provide access to those needed patents to produce the multi-mode chips, while protecting the income of QCOM from cross-license dilution. If the reason for Spinco is now removed, Q must have the needed access.

Multi-mode chips are the future, this is another good day in the long march.
