Totally unimportant.

178 countries + Seattle Wa thought otherwise.

The fact is that OPEC sees US drilling as a threat to their immediate profits and responded accordingly.

OPEC drills for crude. We were described as being in a crisis relative to refineries (tm Bush/Cheney, early 2001). After their comments, the price of gas spiked up dramatically, enough for congress to call hearings. . Your view would confirm that these two guys mis-represented the problem (likely a campaign payback to big oil), since in a couple of short months it has abated.

To me, an assault occurs when a man uses his power to take advantage of an unsuspecting woman.

I don't want to get into defending what these guys did...it is clearly not defensible. But I would say that your descriptions are exaggerations and don't accurately characterize Lewinsky, for example.

Yes, this "just happened". Same as when Clinton was in office, the increases "just happened". It is interesting to me that you want to give credit to Clinton for his "great economy" but when we have good economic developments under Bush, you criticize him for it.

You call a global recession good economic news. No wonder a Rep. administration usually results in a recession.

The fact is that OPEC sees US drilling as a threat to their immediate profits and responded accordingly. This is what happens when you have someone in office that doesn't just talk the talk, but walks the walk. And OPEC knows it.

Do you not read the newspapers at all? The fact is that oil demand has plummeted because the world economy is weakening [see above]. So far dubya and his policies have proven to be totally ineffectual. That's why his ratings continue to drop. He is clueless just like his minions.
