It gets frustrating watching the thunderheads roll by leaving you dry. Our humidity has been so high that when it drops to 80 at night water collects in the low spots on the boat cover.

We got some relief today. Around 4:30 the sirens went off and the sky looked pretty bad. A funnel cloud was spotted near the river but no official report. By the time I left work at 5:30, the sky was various shades of gray and black and about 2 miles from the house it started to sprinkle. After I got home, it rained very slowly for about 30 minutes. Not enough to raise the water table but at least the grass and flowers are happy! They predict a 60% chance of more wet stuff tonight...we'll see! It is 72 outside now...much better than the Noon temp of 90.
