Awful, terrible, horrendously stupid idea. Rebates are the TERRIBLE way to deal with surpluses. Atrociously inefficient and economically impotent.

Cut rates and don’t collect the money in the first place.

I thought someone from the Club for Growth would know better.

An annual rebate is genius.

Next step - abolish withholding... If the average voter in this country had to actually write out a check to pay the IRS every month there might actually be a chance for responsible government.

Unfortunately it's all a pipe dream while supreme parasites like Hillary, Daschle, Gephardt are still kicking around... not to mention the stealthy parasites like Lott.
