read very funny news item on Calif Gov Moron Davis in early 2000, he complained to Federal Energy Regulator Commission (FERC) he wanted to eliminate price controls because it was interfering with energy fuel supply the concern focused on electric generating on the public grid now he has lodged a new complaint with FERC he wants to put back the price controls because prices more than quadrupled, esp for peak demands the concern focuses on perceived obscene profits by suppliers well, now the Governor who flunks Economics 101 wants more he wants to increase supply without a rise in price welcome to the world of bullshit yayaland he is threatening the following (almost ludicrous): - windfall profit tax on suppliers - seizure of windfall profits - appropriation of electric generator facilities - more price controls he is reported to be trying to get concessions from two major utilities Pacific Gas & Electric and another they have both filed for bankruptcy Ch 11 (restructure) he wants to offer them 70 cent per dollar owed now !!! hey, Gov DoucheBag, how about encouraging more generation ??? how about relaxing your screwball restrictive environmental laws ??? thanks for link to Dismal.com, very interesting and broad info Dismal messages are mixed, not all bad / Jim
