Oh yeah, I have pretty stringent rules on day trades.

Basically, if it drops even a little bit, I'm out. When markets turn around, I'll ease off a little on that. I confess that I lost a pretty sizeable chunk of my trading capital between April of last year and this spring before adjusting to the harsh new realities.

Hit and run trading in companies with good balance sheets is the only way to go IMO.
