Fyo - Re: "Would a normal 100Mbps hub do?"

If you are going to upgrade from 10 MBPs to 100 MBPs - DON'T USE a HUB - use a 100 MBPs SWITCH. This will reduce network traffic. Good switches are a little more expensive than HUBS - but not dramatically.

The 10- 100 upgrade is an order of magnitude improvement by itself - and will be worth the investment.
