What a great story Po... she really had a way of capturing small town life didn't she ?

Reminded me of my grandmother- Momo . Every time we visited she would be talking about my cousin dating the nicest little " widow-woman". I was just fascinated with the fact that my cousin ( who was my age) kept finding these women with dead husbands (we were in our early 20s at the time). After about the third one , I finally had to ask. As it turned out , any single mother was a " widow-woman" - her logic being , they HAD to be a widow because she had never known anyone who was divorced, and to have had a child without the sanction of marriage... holy hannah... who would have ever heard of THAT??

ahhhh... those big-city women.....
