There is no moral purity to be preserved. Miscarriage is incidental to pregnancy, a hazard no morally different than scarlet fever or some other childhood killer. Excess embryos are not accidental, and aborting them is deliberate. In other words, one is purposely conceiving an excess with the intention of aborting. You must distinguish between want and need. The race will propagate without universal pregnancy. Gee, laws against homocide and rape and burglary are "statist" too. Calling something "statist" is thoughtless. The question is whether the reason to proscribe is sufficient........
