You're my friend, of course I take you seriously. Will you let me know when you schedule the surgery and I will be sure to keep up via PM. I'll take my laptop to the conference this weekend and we can keep in touch that way.

You've never had an operation? You are lucky. I think you may be very pleasantly surprised at the current state of surgery and the quickness of recuperation.

I still have heard nothing, am very anxious and not sleeping well. But I'd never compare one person's suffering or anxiety to anyone else's. Wouldn't be prudent. -g We all have our own backbacks full of woe. It's how we cope with it that matters.

Hi JC,
I am late to the party, but will throw out that my mother put off having anything done when she had GB problems and wound up very ill with some kind of infection. They had to get that under control before they could operate and really it was very scary. This was in 1966- she must have been- hmm-52.

She wasn;t sick again for the next 25 years.

The scar sounds not too impressive- but a home movie of the procedure might me fun.
