Peer-to-peer is an even bigger driver. I never encounter a recent college grad or tech savvy high school kid that doesn't understand why they need/want/gotta have broadband. With adults I always have to sit down and do the math of that extra phone line plus the cost of their ISP. Even after I show them it is cheaper to have @Home sometimes I still get this scared look on their faces with them saying something like, "Well I don't use the Internet that much so I don't think I NEED a cable modem." At this point I say, "Maybe you'd use it more if you didn't have to go through Hell every time you connected."

- and gee, mebbe they will need a high speed delivery system. anyone know of one? larry

Not me. I only know of a company that offers free greeting cards and serves as a halfway house for useless geniuses and self-appointed "titans of new media".

Maybe you and I could start one. There's certainly a need and no company appears to want to fill that need.
