I don't remember your thinking about whether or not the app server product category is in the tornado,

I haven't looked at rate of gain figures to see whether the current market fulfills the target criteria, in large part because I despair of being able to separate appserver revenue from all the other products these companies sell. Regardless of whether we are officially in a tornado yet or not, I do think that we are way down at the very tiptoes of where we will be in a couple of years, not only because the number of installations will have risen dramatically, but even more because we will be deep into deployment instead of just development. This is one of the reasons for my caution. One might buy Websphere for development because one liked the tools, for example, but then decide on some other appserver for deployment. The first sale might be 10 user; the second 10,000.
