Maybe the RYDEX numbers are reflecting the general public position and the missing ingredient is the banks/institutions. I think the market is mostly driven by the banks now anyway, a few of which may be in trouble on things outside the stock market as well. Like bad loans?

Familiar market timing signals are mixed up.
