well, if the most recent VIX rallies are any indication, we certainly have some room there for more. the last sizeable one topped at 42 in late March...that struck me as not enough to really put in a durable fear bottom. of course those things only really become clear in hindsight, but all things considered i can't envisage anything but a classic exclamation point to end this phase of the bear.
