220....Pechiney Plastics Pechiney Plastic says cutting 220 jobs with plant closure CHICAGO, July 24 (Reuters) - Pechiney Plastic Packaging, which makes flexible plastic packaging products as part of the Pechiney Group (NYSE:PY - news), said on Tuesday that it will close its Cleveland, Ohio plant, cutting 220 jobs as part of the action. The company said the plant closure was part of cost improvement and is expected to be completed by the end of the summer. Pechiney Plastic Packaging employs about 4,000 people in 28 plants in North America, Europe and Australasia. Pechiney America shares are down 80 cents, or more than 3 percent, to $25.20 during late Tuesday afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange. biz.yahoo.com
