Scumbria- I'm running XP, and it is orders of magnitude better than ME

Could you provide some details on what makes it so much better? I am quite leery of all Msoft releases. ME, for example, is a very small improvement over Win 98, and Win 98 was a rather small improvement over the latter versions of Win 95.

So please, tell us more.

Well, WinXP is NT based, like Win2k, so it's not exactly a surprise that it's better than Win9x/Dos based WinME. But unless things have changed lately, many large IT shops are very reluctant to deploy a new MS OS until a service pack or 2 has come out. That's a somewhat hypothetical concern for AMD, of course, but I still can't see how XP-only support can be considered a positive.
