I still think Dow 9000 or maybe 8500 will be as bad as it gets on this move. But we will have to see what the technical indicators tell us when and if we hit those levels.

Tommaso, those people who like to draw lines on charts to predict the future should pull up a long term graph of the DJIA. Draw a straight line from 1982 to about 1995 (which was the end of normalcy) and you would project a dow at about 5,000 and change. Note: this works best with linear scale plots.

Another interesting thing I noted when I did this on Yahoo was that after the depression it took until about 1955 to reach previous highs. Think it could happen that way again? Note: this works best with log scale plots, otherwise you can't see the 20's boom clearly.
