Carolyn: The statement was said in jest ... as if I were hypnotizing JLA ... as if I had him in my spell. It was intended to offer a dose of humor to what had been a semi-heated argument to that point. Given JLA's bashing of Clinton over the years, that particular phrase was selected to illustrate that I was attempting to make him say something that he normally wouldn't say. I also could have said: "Repeat after me ... Jimmy Carter is America's greatest living president ..." or "Repeat after me ... Hillary Clinton will become our next president." Now do you get where I was coming from? Sheesh.
